4. What should the photographer do to ensure colour profiling matches the printer profile?
(a) Ensure your monitor's calibration is up-to-date.
(b) Save your design as JPEG's, at a minimum of 200 dpi.
(c) Attach the sRGB colour profile in Photoshop.

5. Do the parent's books and mini books have to be designed separately?

No, just design the main digital book, as the parents books are scaled according to the size of the main book. The content of the main book always fits in the mini books.

6. What is the safe (bleed) area?

The bleed is the part on the side of your document that gives the printer that small amount of space to move around paper and design inconsistencies. This prevents unwanted white borders around the edges of a printed document. Allow a safe area of 2cms (0.8 inch).

7. How and where should the files be sent?

The photographs can be sent
(a) via FTP site (please phone Highcove for password), or
(b) by saving on cd/dvd disc to and posting to Highcove.
